Known as the City of Roses, Thomasville is home to the annual Rose Show and Festival. Held annually the weekend of the fourth Friday in April, this award-winning festival boasts two parades, rose and garden shows, arts and crafts festival, music entertainment, and more! In December, Downtown Thomasville hosts Victorian Christmas, a two-day festival of food, crafts, and Holiday festivities. Horse-drawn carriages wind through the Victorian downtown and costumed carolers stroll the streets. Tantalizing aromas fill the air as baked goods and other Holiday delicacies are sold. The shops stay open for late-night Christmas shopping and children gather to roast marshmallows, ride the train and visit with St. Nick.
