Georgia Restaurants
Georgia is known for great southern cooking, its famous low-country boil, Brunswick stew, great seafood, and Georgia barbecue. However, Georgia restaurants also offer quite a varied cuisine and caters to all types of food and entertainment, whether you are looking for a fine dining experience or family style restaurants. There are gems to be found all over the state. Most small towns and cities have at least one superb restaurant. And, of course, Atlanta and Savannah have many great restaurants with a selection of international cuisines.
Atlanta Metro Restaurants
Restaurants in the Atlanta Metro Region offer a virtually unlimited number of dining options. If dining out is one of your favorite things to do, then you are in for a treat! Perhaps the restaurant considered number one in the city is Bacchanalia, located in a renovated warehouse in the Buckhead area. Atlanta Magazine says this about Bones: “Atlanta’s best steakhouse. And for some of the best barbecue, you can’t beat Williamson Brothers in Marietta, Harold’s in McDonough or Sprayberry’s in Newnan. If you are in Tucker around lunchtime, stop in at Matthews and experience a true southern treat.

Northeast Georgia Mountains Restaurants
In the Northeast Georgia Mountains you will find two of the best family-style restaurants in the South, which by default means “anywhere”. In Dahlonega, the highly acclaimed Smith House provides the diner with an exceptional southern meal – served up family style. Platters piled high with fried chicken and sweet baked ham, with roast beef; bowls full of dumplings, beef stew, fried okra, candied yams and a dozen or so different fresh, steamed vegetables; homemade yeast rolls and breads that melt in your mouth . . .
