Georgia Biking Trails

Georgia Biking Trails
Cyclists from around the world are now enjoying the bike trails of Georgia, which is evidenced by the world-class Tour de Georgia bike race. Participate in the Annual Brasstown Bald Buster Century, the one event which most uses the most common and difficult mountain routes of the past Tour de Georgia's, or simply test your riding strength on this challenging course. You can cycle the eight-mile mountain course (with an elevation gain of over 1,000 feet) that was created for and used in the 1996 Olympics at the Georgia International Horse Park. The Silver Comet Trail in northwest Georgia has over 60 miles of paved trails to enjoy and connects to the Chief Ladiga Trail in Alabama. There are miles of coastal paths in the Brunswick and the Golden Isles area. Georgia Bikes website provides a fairly comprehensive list of biking trails in Georgia. That website has maps and guidebooks for many biking trails.
