Augusta Golf and Gardens is a virtual paradise of display gardens of breathtaking beauty that includes the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame.

The Augusta Museum of History is certainly not to be missed. That's where you get to see Native American Culture as well as Civil War weapons and memorabilia to your heart's content. Kids will love the dinosaur exhibit at the Natural History section, the aquarium, and the space exploration part. Another thrilling find would be the Old No. 302; Georgia's last steam engine.

A historic gem for history buffs would have to be the 19th century boyhood home of Woodrow Wilson. This is well preserved and still maintains the original Victorian décor, including furniture used by the President and his family members. The Lucy Craft Laney Museum holds a considerable amount of cultural and historical exhibits dedicated to a visionary leader in education. Beware the Haunted Pillar on Broad Street. It marks the remnants of an old Farmer's Market. Any attempt to shift this pillar brings disaster. This is alleged to be due to a curse attributed to a preacher, who got annoyed when asked to stop his preaching and leave the Market.
