Welcome to the Historic Windsor Hotel
The Historic Windsor Hotel is located in the heart of historic downtown Americus, Georgia. Built in 1892, to attract winter visitors from the north, the Windsor was a 100 room, five story Victorian structure with towers, balconies, and a three story open atrium lobby. It occupies nearly an entire city block, and was the site of numerous balls and celebrations. As famous as the structure is, are the visitors who have stayed with us. Former President Jimmy Carter has stayed with us in our presidential Suite, along with Martin Sheen from the West Wing and other famous actors. Al Capone is one or our most famous guests who stayed in the room that is now the Bridal Suite. The Windsor closed its doors in the early 1970s, but recently underwent a $5.8 million restoration which returned the historic structure to its original grandeur.
The restored Windsor is a 1993 National Trust for Historic Preservation Award winner featuring 53 period style guest rooms and round tower suites. A full array of business services is available for conferences and meetings. Host an elegant wedding in our main lobby or a business meeting in one of our conference rooms.

We offer a gourmet dinner menu Monday through Saturday evenings. Our cuisine reflects specialties from around the country, as well as favorites from our local region. In Amelia's guests will experience a fine dining ambiance with great food, wonderful wines and great times.

With over 8,000 square feet of meeting space, The Windsor Hotel is a great place for receptions, parties and celebrations for all kinds of occasions. We offer full catering services to satisfy the most discriminating hosts and guests whether you are hosting a small corporate team-building session, a memorable birthday party or a gala wedding!
In addition to our catering services, we are a full service hotel with a restaurant, pub, salon and spa on site. At The Windsor, your guests will have access to all the amenities and facilities they need without leaving the hotel.
