Field Trips & Tours
The Southeastern Railway Museum offers a wide variety of opportunities for educational field trips and tours, both Guided and Self Guided, for all ages. We have a small picnic area for our group visitors available on a first come basis.
Self Guided tours: Available any time the museum is open to the public. Our experienced docents and volunteers always welcome the opportunity to assist in answering any questions guests may have and directing them to specific points of interest. We strongly suggest beginning your self guided tour prior to 2:30 PM to allow enough time to see and study the many artifacts on display as well as to allow time to enjoy a ride on our caboose train to experience what railroad workers experienced many years ago.
Guided Tours: Available only by advance reservation. Guided Tour reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance by calling (770) 495-0253 or sending e-mail to the educational outreach coordinator.
