The Story
Frogtown Cellars is a 57 acre wine estate located at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains equal distance between Dahlonega and Cleveland Georgia. Frogtown encompasses 40 acres of vineyards and a tri-level gravity flow winery specifically designed to produce the unique wines made from Frogtown grapes.
In 1998, native Atlantans Craig and Cydney Kritzer founded Frogtown in a location carefully selected for quality wine grape production and outstanding mountain views, the Frogtown District of Lumpkin County, Georgia. After researching Frogtowns soil, diverse climates and terrain, Craig divided the land up into separate vineyards. He planted different wine grape varieties based on the characteristics of each vineyard site. Frogtown is now home to 40 acres of vineyards planted to 17 different wine grapes varieties, both red and white.
Frogtown produces wines under the 'Frogtown' label, 'Thirteenth Colony' label and 'Talking Rock' label.
The Kritzer family invites you to come and relax on our deck with a glass of our wine and enjoy the views overlooking our vineyards, lake and the North Georgia Mountains.
Weddings
Hosting your wedding at Frogtown means a lot for us because we have put a lot of effort in designing our facility around your needs. We have dedicated a special room to the bride for dressing before and after the ceremony and to relax after the wedding while the guests are entertained with food and music. Our facility has a wrap-around porch and two large decks with a breath taking view of our vineyard and the North Georgia Mountains. Built on top of a hill, our timber frame structure has cathedral ceilings, hand-carved Tennessee flat stones walls and brazilian cherry floors. We can host up to 200 people and always have many water-proof possibilities. Utilizing the outside decks and out interior event space the number of people who can be hosted at Frogtown increased to 350.
Private Events
Frogtown Cellars is located only an hour and fifteen minutes from downtown Atlanta. Our beautyful facility is the perfect venue for your next business meeting, or for that special memorable event. Wine education programs are available to expand your associates knowledge of wines. Frogtown special corporate events provide you with our fine wines, food and music to entertain up to 200 people. Corporate and personal gifts include our special gift baskets with our wines combined with a Frogtown wine accessory.
